Good morning, I hope you are all well. No doubt you will have heard the announcement by the Government over the weekend about a second national lockdown starting later this week for 4 weeks. At the moment we are trying to assess how this will affect Horizons.
Your responses to the questionnaire I sent out last month showed that you feel we offer a valued service and that on the whole you agreed with the decision we made to close during the first lockdown and the point when we reopened. However, the questionnaire also highlighted the extra stress and pressure the closure put on our families.
At this time, without any guidance from Government around day services, we are planning to remain open. However, if guidance does come from Government that states we have to close, we will.
I would like to ask you just one question:
- If we remain open, will you continue to attend Horizons during the new lockdown period?
Due to the timescale involved, can you please reply by Wednesday morning?
As usual, all decisions about Horizons will be made with the safety and wellbeing of our service users, families and staff at the heart.
Thank you for your continued support.
Take care,
John
