Hi all, hope you are all well.

This week has been a really good week with most service users returning full time and settling back in with no problems. Although we are still restricted in the activities we can run, everybody seems to have engaged in what has been on offer. I hope the photos below show this. I am continuing to review the activities, particularly the outdoor ones, and hope to increase these over the next few weeks once I feel it is safe to do so.

Thank you for working with us around the drop off and picks ups over the week, the same system will be in place next week. Also next week we are asking that you bring packed lunches in again. However, the following week we are hoping to be able to offer hot meals again. I’ll keep you updated next week.

If you have not already done so, can you please download the new parent app I mentioned last week, you should all have been sent a link. Let us know if you are having any problems. We are now starting to send out information through it including a questionnaire sent out today asking for your views on how you feel we have handled the period over lockdown. It is important for as many people as possible to fill out the questionnaire so that I can review the decisions made and actions taken and see if we can learn anything from it. Once they are all in, I will send out an overview of the responses.

Still on the download theme, as you may have seen we are all being asked to download the NHS COVID 19 App, over 12 million people so far have done so. One of the reasons for this is so that when we go into public buildings such as restaurants or leisure facilities, we will be asked to scan a QR code, a square with a random black and white pattern on, to support track and trace. As from yesterday we now have the QR code on display in Horizons. All staff and visitors will be asked to scan the code when they come in. So, if you have not already done so, can you please download the app.

Take care and have a good weekend.

John
