Some of our young people have just completed a week of work experience over at the Atrium café in the First Choice Homes building. They have been learning some new skills and did very well at all the tasks and really enjoyed the experience.

A huge thank you to Marie, Adil, Daniel, Ed, Callum, Adam and Reece for all your help. Have a look at the team in action – here are Callum and Dan checking the dates of the milk for stock, filling up the tea, coffee, sugar and milk supplies around the building and helping Ed..

Dan got the money ready for the trolley run..

A few words from Ed about his day…as he wrote…

Today at the Atrium cafe Dan has worked on the trolley run he enjoyed it the activities he did include checking use by date on the milk. He feels a lot more comfortable and confident he took part in the stocking of tea coffee and sugar.
Callum and Dan did the milk tea coffee and sugar run along with the trolley run. I have come back to work at the Atrium and it feels good to be back i have missed being here but I am glad to finally return to the cafe and help out where needed.

Adil and Marie made a perfect team when they completed their placement on 2 days.

They enjoyed getting the money ready for the trolley run using their money/counting skills.

Adil has been enhancing his social skills and impressed us with his work ethic and confidence (and his knowledge of sport!)

The young people have really enjoyed their week at the Atrium and they can’t wait to go back. Well done and thank you for all your hard work!
