We’ve had another great week at Horizons! Our young people continue to enjoy doing the morning trolley run at First Choice Homes. Lindsay was in her element taking charge..

Mmmmm – is some-one eyeing up the snacks?

Brandon put his money skills to good use – here he is making the first sale of the day..

They also had to make sure all the kitchens in the First Choice Homes buildings were stocked with essentials.,

Lindsay took charge of the coffee for the first time..

..while Sean topped up the sweeteners..

Their last job before the end of the shift was take out the rubbish..

Mollie has also been working hard on her placement at the RSPCA – this week she mastered the photocopier..

Don’t worry, she got chance to soothe her aching feet after all that hard work with a lovely warm foot spa..

Hayley’s group really enjoyed their visit to Portland Basin in Ashton (we love the hats!!)..

Back at the Learning Centre, Liam tried his hand at the washing up..

..which Kirsty thought was hilarious!!

All our groups have really enjoyed this week’s session at Ability Wheelz..

There has also been plenty of dancing! Everyone was glad to see Harriet, our dance tutor…she was missed when she was off last week! They did some Bollywood dancing..

Adam absolutely loves the song ‘Hey Baby’ by DJ Otzi – he was centre of attention as always!

Emma’s group headed off to Morrisons in Rochdale..

..making sure to stop for a brew at the cafe..

Jeff’s group have also been out and about – we managed to catch them in Oldham (it’s not easy getting them to stay still!)..

Emma’s group have also been busy cooking – stuffed jacket potatoes this week..

They didn’t last long!! Emma’s group were delighted to welcome some young people from ‘The Challenge’ to Horizons as part of  the NCS programme. The first session was for getting to know each other and they had a great time playing a few games, painting and chatting..

..although Mia got a bit carried away with the paint..

Just look at this cake!

We’re looking forward to the building work being completed at Medtia – thank you all for your patience while the improvements are carried out.

We hope you have a lovely week!
