Our young people have been very busy bees at Horizons, especially Shelley’s group with their little project to mark the anniversary of the tragic events in Manchester. They carefully painted 22 pebbles and placed their Manchester bees around Stamford, Royton, Alexandra, Dunwood and Waterhead Parks..

Rachel Kelly messaged us to say that she had found some of our bees and shared her news online with others..

..Claire Kennedy said ‘I found 2 in Royton today, I’ve also been doing my own 22 bees. Nearly ready to hide them in Royton tomorrow’ and Emma Mitchell-Wright told us ‘My little boy found one earlier in Royton Park, we will re-hide in Devon later this week when we visit’

One little bee even made it to the People’s Park in Grimsby..

The young people also created a beautiful tribute back at Medtia..

Hayley’s group have had a great time at the Learning Centre over the last few weeks! They have enjoyed the lovely sunny weather, visiting Stamford Park where they ran through the fountains, played on the park and had a relaxing walk..

They have enjoyed their usual activities with lots of art sessions..

..water sensory fun..

..music sessions, large game activities..

..and some relaxation/pamper sessions..

They have also been getting prepared for the Royal Wedding in their art sessions making bouquets, crowns, flags and wedding cakes…and naturally they baked some scones..

Emma’s group have been equally busy, again making the most of the sunshine with plenty of trips out, especially to Ability Wheelz at Alexandra Park. Dan had a session on his own as he wasn’t keen to get on a bike having not ridden one since he was about 10. As you can see though, he took to it like a duck to water!! We’re very proud of him, well done Dan!!

The rest of the group loved their sessions there too..

They also enjoyed another trip to the sensory room at the library..

..visited the Gallery Oldham..

..made some very tasty pasta salad..

..and helped Reece celebrate his birthday with one of the biggest cakes we’ve seen!

We hope you have a lovely week!
