The young people at Horizons have had another great week. Hayley B’s group have had lots of fun at the Learning Centre, joining up with the students there for some Easter fun and games..

They have visited Hollingworth Lake where some of them had a walk all the way round while others just part of it..

They have had some lovely relaxation sessions..

..enjoyed some Easter art..

..and taken part in our coffee morning, showing their files to parents of all the things they get up to while at Horizons. The group have been to Ability Wheelz..

..been baking biscuits and cakes and enjoyed a dance session with their friends at Medtia..

They are all now ready to enjoy a nice long weekend with family and friends. Hayley W’s group at Medtia have been equally busy. The fidget board is still getting a lot of use..

..and they have been out and about as usual..

..and had lots of fun in the centre too..

Jess had her odd socks on for National Down Syndrome Day last week..

Jeff’s group have been busy in the community over the past two weeks, going to Manchester twice and accessing the community around Horizons’ town centre site. The young people have enjoyed going to Alexandra Park Boat House Café..

..and Ability Wheelz..

They have enjoyed going on the tram to Manchester, visiting the Arndale Centre and, of course, the food court for a snack and a drink..

..and stopping off at a few shops – they especially enjoyed the Apple Store, a favourite with everyone..

Jonathan checked out the new orange bike rental in Manchester..

..and made friends with some police officers..

Greggs, Costa Coffee and McDonalds are always a hit, with everyone enjoying a drink and a visit with our friends in the community..

They still have to do a few jobs around the Horizons building keeping it tidy for everyone..

The group are looking forward to seeing a bit more sun (maybe even a glimpse of Spring!) so they can start washing the benches again and tidying up in the sunshine. Shelley’s group have had an exciting week, they have been busy making Easter cards and cakes, shopping for ingredients..

They finished off with an Easter egg and spoon race which was great fun!

We hope you have a lovely Easter!
