The young people at Horizons have had a lovely time getting ready for Christmas. Jeff’s group have been out and about enjoying the holiday spirit in their community access sessions. The group had a fabulous Christmas party at the Shay Wake in Shaw, catching the tram from the town centre..
A few young people braved the cold and ice to walk to the Leisure Centre for swimming..
..naturally stopping off at McDonalds for refreshments on the way back..
..and popping into Sainsbury’s for those all important snake gummies..
The group have also been out in Oldham town centre, enjoying a drink at their favourite spot, the Costa Odeon..
Oldham certainly looked very different in all that fog but it didn’t slow our young people down..
Harry’s friends had a lovely time helping him celebrate his birthday..
Shelley’s group had a fabulous end to the year, they had a great time with their friends in Manchester..
..and a very enjoyable trampolining session..
They finished off with a party with a special visitor and lots of goodies..
They didn’t want anyone to feel left out so the staff did a collection for their furry friends at Pennine Pen with lots of Christmas goodies..
Hayley’s group have also had lots of festive fun and really enjoyed joining in the Learning Centre’s Christmas dinner..
They have also said a very fond farewell to Anthony who spent his last day at Horizons with his friends on Tuesday. Anthony will be very much missed by us all and we wish him the very best – hopefully we will bump into him while we are out and about..
We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and we will see you all back in the New Year on Wednesday 3rd January!
