Our young people have been very busy at Horizons! Emma’s group have been out and about..

They’ve not let the Autumn weather keep them from Ability Wheelz, although we’re not too sure about some of the company they’re keeping..

They’ve been having a lot of fun indoors too..

Shelley’s group have also been working on their living skills..

..with some fun along the way..

They have even managed to combine Sherborne and yoga into what we’re reliably informed is ‘Shoga’..

Gary’s group had a great time celebrating Yvonne’s birthday..

Gary’s group were delighted to welcome another group of young people from NCS ‘The Challenge’ who delivered a great drama based session..

I enjoyed meeting new people and the games we played to get to know each other were fun. I am looking forward to doing some more! – Lauren

I liked meeting new friends, I really enjoyed the Dragons Den game! – Sohaib

Our young people really enjoyed the session and had lots of fun, meeting new people and making new friends..

I enjoy the way the NCS guys and our guys interact with each other, it’s nice to see ability recognised – Gary

Hayley’s group had a lovely week during the school holidays for Halloween. They have been busy solving the Halloween challenge at Ability Wheelz..

They even found a witch with the same surname (Mrs Boyle) but as you can see, the similarities ended right there..

They really enjoyed baking treacle biscuits..

..making Halloween pictures, enjoying rebound, relaxation and some Sherborne..

Jeff’s group have finished up picking up the leaves around the building at Medtia..

..and were very relieved they didn’t have the same job to do at Alexandra Park! Luckily they were there to enjoy Ability Wheelz instead..

..and they even visited the office afterwards to see the staff and warm up!

They definitely felt warmed up after some Halloween monster dance songs that afternoon with their favourite activity of the week at Medtia, dance..

Everyone enjoyed getting out in the community for a shop and a look at all the new seasonal goods for sale..

..before stopping at one of their favourite spots, the Odeon Costa Coffee for a hot chocolate with friends..

They finished off the week with free choice activities from painting, visiting, iPad and testing out the two new bean bags for people to relax after a busy day (they look very comfy!!)..

The group are looking forward to visiting the Manchester Christmas Markets very soon! Shelley’s group have beaten them to it though, with a trip out on the tram to see all the decorations..

We hope you have a lovely weekend!
