The young people at Horizons have had a wonderful week. Jeff’s group have been out and about in their community access sessions and really enjoyed their outing to Manchester on the tram..
They hit the shops, going to the Arndale Apple store looking at iPads, watches and lots more before stopping off at the Disney store..
There was time for more window shopping on the way to the food court where everyone found something nice for lunch. The group have also enjoyed a bus trip to Ashton to go bowling….before quickly jumping on the tram to Hollywood Bowl which was only one stop away but meant they avoided walking to bowling in the rain..
They also managed to dodge the rain at the park..
They saved some energy for their dance session which has to be one of the all-time favourite activities of all the groups at Horizons..
..and some arts and crafts..
Shelley and Emma’s groups have had fun with all their usual sessions, making the most of the sunshine in Alexandra Park..
..relaxing with their joint weekly Sherbourne session which is proving to be very successful..
..and enjoyed some sensory activities..
They have been out shopping..
..and put the ingredients to good use when they got back..
Shelley’s group have a new project focusing on road safety and all the young people were very keen to learn more..
We’ll let you know how they’re getting on next week. Emma’s group also walked over to the library and enjoyed a session there..
We’re looking forward to our Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday at both Medtia Square and the Learning Centre – we hope you will be able to join us!
