Our young people have had another great week at Horizons. Gary’s group are very excited to have started volunteering with Age UK at their over 60s luncheon club..
This is a fantastic opportunity for our young people that will help them further develop a range of skills such as work skills, social skills and travel skills in addition to having a wonderful time! This is Horizons’ first partnership with Age UK in Chadderton and we are hoping the relationship will grow and lead to more openings for our young people.
Jeff’s group having been making the most of the sunshine and getting out and about..
They even managed to avoid the rain at Ability Wheelz..
They’ve certainly been keeping active with their weekly dance session..
..another trip to Extreme Air..
..and a stint of site maintenance..
Hayley’s group have had another fun packed week, they have been busy getting very messy in cornflour, foam and bubbles..
They’ve been out to the shops and struck lucky with the weather on their visit to Stamford Park, with a lovely walk around looking at the rabbits and chickens, stopping off at the fountains and of course, they couldn’t miss out the café..
The young people have also enjoyed baking tasty buns, rebound sessions, relaxing in the ILS and an afternoon of Sherborne too..

The young people have enjoying learning life skills around budgeting with money and shopping before giving Mary Berry a run for her money with some delicious orange cheesecakes..
