Our young people have been very busy at Horizons learning about the centenary of the end of the First World War..

..and making their own poppies to commemorate Remembrance Day..

They have also incorporated Remembrance Day into their other activities..

..and they have been visiting various memorials across the borough, Shaw and Crompton and Uppermill, to lay their handmade poppies..

Our young people then paid a special visit to The Imperial War Museum North..

Everyone has worked hard on the fantastic display here at Medtia..

There have also been plenty of other activities as you might expect, with our young people getting out and about, enjoying a visit to Chadderton Hall Park in the sunshine..

..and Ability Wheelz..

We haven’t yet shared all the pictures of our Halloween party with you – as you can see, it was a great success!

We even found time for a spot of baking, although the biscuits proved far more successful (buns were on the cards too until we realised our eggs were frozen – oops!)..

At least we had a willing volunteer to tackle the cleaning up..

Don’t forget that this Friday we’ll be supporting Children in Need – we hope you’ll want to join in and we’re looking forward to seeing all your fabulous onesies!

There are some last minute tickets now available for our trip to the Opera House on 18th December to see Cinderella if you are quick! Our staff will be there to support our young people and you can find out more by calling Isabella on 0161 883 2401.

We hope you have a lovely week!
