20 Jul

While the students at New Bridge have been winding down at the end of term, for our young people at Horizons it’s been business as usual……and they’ve certainly been busy!

Hayley’s group at the Learning Centre have been having lots of fun getting out and about in the community and joining in with activities with the students at the Learning Centre. They have been for lovely strolls through Daisy Nook..

They have had a wonderful time getting very messy with shaving foam and paint..

Neelam celebrated her birthday and her family dressed her wheelchair in lights and balloons!

They have even found time for some baking amongst their many other activities..

Jeff’s group have been enjoying the sunshine, going on walks to the park, stopping off for refreshments and having a brilliant time at Ability Wheelz..

They saw Sam Bailey out on their travels who was sporting a big badge for his birthday, and naturally stopped to take some pics with him..

They have ventured into town, looking around the shops, and they have also been keeping busy looking after Horizons and collecting lots of rubbish..

..not forgetting their regular visits to the leisure centre for swimming..

Shelley’s group have been having a lovely time too, planting flowers..

..cooking..

..and making the most of the glorious weather to visit plenty of parks..

Emma’s group enjoyed a trip to Morrisons on the tram..

They’ve been busy back at the centre too, working on their living skills..

..and working hard over at the Atrium on the trolley run..

They really enjoyed this week’s visit to Ability Wheelz..

Everyone had a great time helping Lauren celebrate her birthday..

We hope you have a wonderful week!
